Greg Cordasco has always placed an emphasis in on the junior program at Liberty Cycle. "These kids are the future of our sport, and it's a real joy to help them achieve success on and off the bike," says Cordasco.
This philosophy has paid off. His junior cyclists have achieved numerous state and national results, and his junior-fed cycling club grows larger each year.
Now the success of the Liberty Cycle Junior Program will be used as a model for a larger, state-wide effort to increase youth participation in and enjoyment of competitive cycling.
Cordasco will support NJBA President Bob Cary in his quest to provide quality coaching for young cyclists and to ensure that youngsters have age-specific categories at as many New Jersey races as possible.
"A key to getting kids interested in cycling is to provide age-appropriate competition," he added. "The way to keep competition a fun, positive experience is through good coaching and mentoring."
