Greg Cordasco
Owner, Manager
A municipal bond salesman on Wall Street in a former life, Greg decided to follow his passion for cycling and opened Liberty Corner Cycle in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, in 1990. In May of 1996, he moved the shop to its present location in beautiful downtown Basking Ridge, shortening the name to Liberty Cycle. Greg takes a hands-on approach to the bicycle business, spending countless hours wrenching bikes, working with customers, and attending and overseeing club training rides. Greg also manages, coaches, and races with the Olde Mill Inn-Liberty Cycle competitive cycling team and is head coach of the Northern New Jersey Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training fundraisers. He also serves on the Board of Directors at the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame.
An accomplished Category II bike racer, Greg was the Masters Cycle Racing Association Series Champion in 2003, he won the Garden State Cup silver medal in 2000, was the New Jersey points race champion on the track in 1995, and is also a recreational mountain biker. Greg rides a Colnago Dream Plus outfitted with Campagnolo Record, a 70th Anniversary Mondonico, a Giant dual suspension mountain bike, and a Fuji Team track bike. Greg graduated from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA, many moons ago, and he currently enjoys traveling and hiking with his family when not working or out riding. |
Ingrid Cordasco
Daily Operations Manager
Ingrid lives in Basking Ridge with husband Greg, their three wonderful children, Samantha, Johanna, and Gregory, and their yellow lab, Donatello (Tello). When not chasing them around, Ingrid is a frequent contributor here at the shop. Ingrid was graduated from the University of Virginia, and worked as an editor before joining the Liberty Cycle team in 1998. Ingrid enjoys training and leisure rides on her Litespeed Bella, and participated in the occasional bike race before dedicating herself fulltime to her family. |
